About Studio Polak

We are an Amsterdam-based graphic design studio run, until now by me Dylan Polak 
(the founder). Studio Polak is an overall graphic design studio, with special interest in Corporate Identity, Concept development, Interactive Webdesign, Typography and Video.

Besides the commercial design work we like to play around.  

We are a small design studio that has a wide network of creative people, like motion designers, illustrators, photographers, copy writers and developers we regularly collaborate with.

Education

Dylan Polak received his bachelor degree in Graphic Design and Typography at the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) in 2009.

He took a pre-study for art school and received his bachelor MBO degree at the Grafisch Lyceum Amsterdam in 2004.

  • work published in ‘Bastardised’ book by ‘Bunch’ (made in bunch) UK 2008.
  • work published in the 3D type book from Lawrence King publishers, London 2011.
  • Guest editor for O2 magazine, sustainable design platform & inspiration magazine, volume 17, Delft 2009.
  • National newspaper De Telegraaf published an article about the the European Commission’s campaign ‘we are all in this together’ created by Ogilvy. The Image shown next to the article shows Dylan Polak making the artwork for the campaign during the official kick-off, Amsterdam 3-4-2010.

Exhibitions

  • The Plastic Domestic project was part of the Dutch Design Week 2009, at the (ICSE) Eindhoven.
  • Trash is such a waste is now part of the office interior of design agency WK-ontwerpers in The Hague.

  • The Plastic Domestic project was part of the symposium Overvloed (abundance). An event organized by Happy Chaos at the classical decor of the Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam (Amsterdam based Theatre)
